Antoine's Annex - New Orleans - 7/12/10

So it's 350 degrees, humidity is 900%, we walk to Cafe du Monde, I spot it from a distance and there's no one sitting in the outdoor cafe...."awesome, no wait!" I exclaim to the wife. Then we get a bit closer and see the "Closed due to equipment failure" sign. Well, fiddlesticks.

I knew where Antoine's Annex was, so we hit this up....



So we got one Cafe Au Lait with coffee, one with chicory, one chocolate croissant, and one banana nut muffin. The pastries were excellent, the coffee did not convince....we shall see what further examples bring. They do offer wine/Champagne at quite reasonable prices - worth a shot.
